Why isn't my caravan listed?

Our dataset currently covers caravans registered with the major UK inland park authorities. If your caravan isn't listed — perhaps it's on a different park, privately moored, or a newer registration — you can register it yourself from your dashboard. We're continually expanding coverage.

How do I add my caravan to the registry?

Create a free account, then use the "Register a Caravan" option from your dashboard. You'll enter your caravan's details — name, type, make, model, year — and receive a unique CR-XXXXX reference number. Once registered, you can start building its digital logbook.

Data accuracy depends on the source. When a caravan owner registers their profile, they can correct and enrich all the information. Unregistered caravans show only the original public data.

What personal data do you collect?

We collect only what's needed: your email address and display name when you register. Everything else — expenses, documents, engine logs, location history, emergency contacts — is optional and entirely under your control. We never collect data passively or from third parties.

Is my email address visible to the public?

No. Your email address is never displayed on your caravan's public profile or anywhere else on the site. If someone reports an issue with your caravan, the report is routed through our system — your contact details are never exposed to the reporter.

How is my data protected technically?

We use Row-Level Security (RLS) at the database level — not just application-level filtering. This means your private data (expenses, documents, engine logs, location, equipment) is cryptographically inaccessible to anyone who isn't you or your invited crew, even in the event of an application bug. No. We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We have no analytics tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, and we never sell, share, or monetise your data in any way. Zero tracking is a core principle, not a marketing claim.

Registering a caravan means linking your account to the caravan's record as the current owner. This does not constitute legal proof of ownership. Registration links your account so you can manage the caravan's profile, add documents, track expenses, and receive issue reports. For stronger proof, you can upload supporting documents and apply for verified owner status, which is reviewed by our admin team.

No. The Caravan Registry is a voluntary register — not a legal document of title. We provide a verifiable ownership record: account linking, document uploads, verified owner status, and a dispute resolution process. But registration here should not be relied upon as legal proof.

Can someone else register my caravan?

Each caravan can only be registered by one account at a time. If someone has already registered your caravan incorrectly, you can file an ownership dispute from the caravan's profile page. You'll be asked to provide evidence of ownership (registration documents, purchase receipts, insurance), and our admin team will review and resolve the dispute. Verified owners — those who have submitted supporting documentation — carry greater weight in dispute resolution.

Disputes are handled by our admin team. Both parties can upload evidence (registration documents, purchase receipts, insurance certificates, photos) which is stored in private encrypted storage. During an active dispute, the caravan is locked from further registration changes. The admin reviews the evidence and resolves in favour of the rightful owner.

How do I report a stolen caravan?

From your caravan's dashboard, use the "Report Stolen" feature. You'll enter the police reference number, force, last known location, and a description. This creates a public stolen alert page that warns potential buyers, and the caravan is locked from registration changes until the situation is resolved.

Yes — the core registry is completely free. You can register an account, register your caravan, update its public profile, and search the registry at no cost. Premium features like the digital logbook (expenses, engine logs, maintenance tracking, document storage, equipment registry) are available on the Premium plan.

How do QR codes work?

Any registered user can generate a free QR code for their boat. When scanned, it links directly to the caravan's public profile — useful for displaying on the caravan itself. If someone finds your caravan adrift or spots an issue, they can scan the code and submit a report without needing to know your details. Physical NFC and QR tags are available to purchase from the Tag Shop.

Can I invite crew to manage my caravan?

Yes. From your caravan's dashboard, you can invite crew members by email. Co-owners get full read and write access to all caravan data. Crew members get read-only access. Invitations use an accept/reject flow, and you can revoke access at any time.
